Foundations
Sensor intelligence is AI that turns raw building, industrial, or environmental sensor data into prioritised, explainable operational decisions.
Modern buildings and industrial facilities generate orders of magnitude more sensor data than their operators can read. Sensor intelligence is the layer that takes that telemetry and turns it into a small number of clearly ranked actions. It combines anomaly detection, forecasting, causal filtering, and what-if simulation in one engine — and grounds every output in the underlying signals so the answers are explainable.
Sensor intelligence is not the same as a BMS dashboard, a historian, or a generic analytics platform. A dashboard tells you what is happening. A historian stores what has happened. Sensor intelligence tells you what to do, with which signals support that recommendation, and how confident you should be in it.
In FrostLogic Explore, sensor intelligence is implemented as the Frostdynamics™ engine — reading from BMS, energy meters, and IoT sensors, validating each input continuously, and emitting a single prioritised queue of decisions.
