Energy management software
FrostLogic Explore reads the meters, BMS and sensors you already run and returns a ranked list of what to act on — each item with a reason and the cost of leaving it.
The problem
Most energy management software gives you a dashboard. Charts, trends, a wall of metrics, and the analysis left to you. It tells you the building used more energy last week. It doesn't tell you which air-handling unit caused it, or what it will cost if you wait.
FrostLogic Explore is energy management software built the other way round. It reads your existing meters, BMS and IoT sensors, checks every signal against the building's physics, and returns a short queue of decisions ranked by what they cost to ignore. The dashboard is the question. The queue is the answer.
No new hardware, no rip-and-replace. Explore sits on top of the systems you already run, read-only, and turns their data into a list an operator can act on before lunch.
What it does
Six detection methods cross-check each other, so a drifting sensor doesn't trigger a false alarm and a real fault doesn't hide in the noise. You get the issues that matter, ranked, not an alarm storm.
Energy demand, cost and load forecast forward with a stated confidence range, so you can plan procurement and peak-shaving against numbers instead of hunches.
Evidence for EPBD/BACS and the voluntary ratings (BREEAM, LEED, Nordic Swan) is gathered continuously from live data, not rebuilt by hand at audit time.
Test a setpoint, tariff or schedule change against the building's model before you touch the real system, and see the likely effect first.
The result is an energy management dashboard you act from, not one you stare at.
The difference
| A typical energy dashboard | FrostLogic Explore | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Charts and KPIs | A ranked queue of decisions |
| Who does the analysis | You | The platform, grounded in the building's physics |
| Alarms | Threshold alerts, often by the hundred | Cross-checked, de-duplicated, prioritised |
| Forecasting | Historical trend lines | Forward forecasts with confidence bounds |
| Compliance | Exported manually at audit time | Evidence gathered continuously |
| Data & hardware | Often a new platform and meters | Reads what you already run, read-only |
| Where it lives | Varies | EU-hosted or self-hosted, GDPR-native, no PII |
At a glance
No rip-and-replace, no new field hardware in the common case. Explore connects read-only over the protocols your BMS already speaks, processes data in the EU, and returns its first ranked findings in the first week — not after a long baselining project.
How it works
01 · Read
Explore connects to your BMS, meters and sensors over standard protocols. Read-only. Nothing new to install.
02 · Reason
The Frostdynamics engine grounds every signal in the building's physics. When a sensor and the physics disagree, it trusts the physics and says so. It cites the data it used and invents nothing.
03 · Rank
You get a short queue: what to act on, why, and the cost of waiting. Energy, faults and compliance in one ordered list.
Before you ask
Software that collects data from a building's meters, BMS and sensors to monitor and improve how it uses energy. Most of it stops at dashboards and reports. FrostLogic Explore goes further: it ranks what to act on and explains why, so the analysis isn't left to you.
Your BMS runs the building. A dashboard shows you charts. Explore sits on top of both and returns a ranked queue of decisions — which fault to fix first, which drift will become a complaint, which floor is dragging the bill.
No. Explore reads from the meters, BMS and IoT sensors you already have, over BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT and M-Bus. It never writes back.
Existing building management systems (Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Trend, Bastec, or anything speaking the standard protocols), energy meters and submeters, and IoT sensor feeds. If you run something unusual, tell us what it is.
In the EU. Managed SaaS runs on Hetzner's ISO 27001 data centres, GDPR-native, or you self-host in your own Kubernetes cluster. The platform processes building and sensor data only, no PII.
The demo runs against a sample of your data in 20 minutes. In production most teams see ranked findings in the first week, with no new hardware.
20-minute demo, scoped to your buildings and meters. Senior engineer on the call — no procurement round, no pitch deck.
