Honeywell Trend integration

Trend IQ analytics, from the Honeywell Trend BMS you already run.

Explore connects to your Trend IQ estate and returns one ranked queue: what to fix first, where, and what it costs to wait.

The problem

UK Trend estates, data trapped per building.

Honeywell Trend Controls runs a large share of UK commercial estates on IQ4 and IQ5 controllers, often under an IQVISION supervisor. Trend BMS analytics, as most sites actually run it, is a supervisor screen and per-building trend logs that stay closed until something has already failed.

Explore reads those same points continuously without rewriting the Trend strategy or the IQVISION station logic. Every finding is grounded in the physics of your building by FrostDynamics, our world model, and lands in one queue, ranked by what ignoring it costs. Trend keeps control of the building. You finally get to see what it knows.

What it does

From Trend IQ points to a ranked queue.

Anomaly detection on live Trend data.

Six detection methods run on the points IQ4, IQ5 and IQVISION already trend: temperatures, valve positions, runtimes, energy. A compressor drifting out of its envelope shows up days before the alarm would have fired.

Forecasts and what-if.

Demand and consumption forecasts per building, checked against the physics. What-if simulation tests a setpoint change in the model before anyone touches the live Trend system.

Compliance evidence, continuously.

BREEAM, LEED, Nordic Swan and EPBD evidence assembled from data your Trend estate produces anyway, instead of at audit time.

Plays fine with Trend tools.

Keep IQVISION, supervisor reporting, or Niagara Analytics where they earn their keep. Explore reads alongside and covers the portfolio queue they were never built to own.

Deployment

Three routes into a Trend estate.

BACnet/IP from IQ4 or IQVISION.

IQ4, IQ5 and IQVISION speak BACnet/IP. The FrostLogic Edge Agent on the existing PC or server reads the points, and writes back to the points you have granted it. Write starts off. Installed remotely, usually in an afternoon. Trend strategy and supervisor logic stay untouched.

Agent on the existing PC or server.

No cloud path? The FrostLogic Edge Agent sits beside the supervisor or plant-room PC you already have, reads your BMS, meters and sensors, and writes back only where you grant a scope.

Cloud or credentials where present.

Estates already exposing data through a cloud or credentials path connect the same day. Mixed portfolios that also run non-Trend buildings land in the same feed.

The question every Trend estate asks

IQVISION already has tools. Why Explore?

Coverage beyond one supervisor.

IQVISION and supervisor analytics see the Trend sites they were commissioned for. Real portfolios mix Trend with Siemens, Schneider, Niagara and meters. Explore normalises all of it into one queue.

Physics, not another dashboard.

FrostDynamics checks every finding against the building thermodynamics before it reaches your queue. Pure pattern tools and wire-sheet analytics cannot do that across the estate.

Nothing to rip out.

Keep IQVISION, Trend engineering tools, or Niagara Analytics where they earn their keep. Explore reads alongside; connecting is not a migration and does not need a rip-and-replace integrator project.

Running Siemens, Schneider, Niagara or Metasys alongside Trend? Explore reads Desigo, EcoStruxure, Niagara and Metasys into the same model, and ranks across all of it with portfolio-wide BMS analytics. The analytics layer itself lives on the FrostLogic Explore platform page. For the long-tail walkthrough of adding an analytics layer on Trend IQ without touching the control strategy, read Trend IQ analytics layer. See also BACnet and the integrations hub.

Before you ask

Honeywell Trend analytics, the questions we get.

Yes. The FrostLogic Edge Agent on the existing PC or server reads your BMS, meters and sensors over BACnet, and writes back to the points you have granted it. Write starts off. You do not need a BMS cloud subscription or new hardware.

Yes, once you turn it on. Write access starts off. You grant it one scope at a time, and Explore proposes the change with its reasoning and the expected effect before anything moves. You choose whether that proposal waits for someone to approve it, or runs automatically inside the scope you set. Points outside that scope stay untouched. Trend stays the control layer.

No. Trend and IQVISION keep running the building. Explore adds detection, forecasting, ranking and evidence. Nothing about your BMS strategy or supervisor setup has to change.

One. Explore normalises mixed estates into a single model and one queue. Mixed portfolios are the normal case, not the exception.

One building, three weeks. The agent goes in remotely, data accumulates, and we walk you through what Explore found. If the queue is not worth your time, you have lost three weeks.

IQ4, IQ5 and IQVISION expose points over BACnet/IP. The FrostLogic Edge Agent reads those points, and writes back only where you grant a scope. Write starts off. Where a cloud or credentials path already exists, data can flow the same day.

Connect one building. Three weeks. We show you what we find.

Pick one building, even a couple of fan coil units. We connect it remotely, let two to three weeks of data accumulate, then go through the findings with you. There's nothing to install and no commitment past the pilot.

Start with one buildingRemote, and it writes nothing until you grant it a scope.

What's your building not telling you?

Tell us what you're trying to figure out: energy drift, a BMS you don't trust, compliance you're chasing. We listen first, then tell you straight whether Explore helps. 30 or 60 minutes, your pick. No commitment either way.
